compassionate care

The compassionate care here has its limits. I saw a man bring in his female mixed breed dog, saying she had been in labor for about 6 hours, and he thought a puppy was stuck. He admitted he could not pay up front and asked about payment plans. He was told that they do not make payment plans -- he had to leave with his dog. If I had the resources, I would have paid. It broke my heart to see her carried out, still in distress. Hope he finds a vet that will make a payment plan. If you have cash or a credit card you'll get good care, but don't look for charity here.

I recently needed a vet for an emergency. New in town I didnt have one so I had to just picked one from the phone book. Not recommended. Anyway, I got lucky and the Dr was so good that I will insist on everyone I know using him for their pets! I heard him GIVING medicine and food to someone who rescued some dogs!! When is the last time you heard of a Vet doing that!! You know, CARING!!!! He really genuinely cares about the animals he is treating and the ones who aren't fortunate enough to be taken for treatment!! I saw a plaque on the wall in his office thanking him for the help during hurricane katrina from pethelpers! If your pet needs a simple check up or is deathly ill, TAKE HIM TO DR STEPHENSON!!! He is the nicest Vet I have ever met!!!!! I wish he treated people !!!! :)
